The one argument that people tend to make against a fulfilled bible is this...
"Well, Jesus was physically resurrected so therefore we will be too"
Well, first of all it can be easily shown that the resurrection was always the hope of Israel and would occur at the end of the Old Covenant when God would come in judgment to put away the Temple sacrifices and all that was associated with the first flawed covenant arrangement. This can easily be proven to be a past event. (Daniel 12, Hebrews 8-9)
But what about this whole idea that just because Jesus was resurrected in what seemed as a physical body, we will be too?
Well, I would ask you to explain the crucifixion to me then. The bible says that we have been "crucified with Christ" (Galatians 2)
Does that mean that we have literally been nailed to a cross and hung until death just like Christ was?
Or is this a SPIRITUAL concept by which our old man dies and the new man comes?
In the same manner, the resurrection should be viewed as a spiritual concept. Being resurrected into new life. Into new relationship. Into a restored relationship with the Father. Into eternal life.
Remember, before you try to argue that point, Daniel chapter 12 will utterly shatter any future resurrection arguments. Don't believe me, please go and read it and keep in mind the 42 month destruction of Jerusalem which resulted in their total shattering.
