"Jay, you spiritualize the bible too much" is a common thing I hear from certain individuals who disagree with my view.
My typical answer is...
"Well the bible is a spiritual book."
"The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED." 1 Cor 2:14
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in SPIRIT and truth." John 4:24
The Old Covenant was a Covenant made on fleshly physical shadows of what was to come. There is nothing eternal there. It was just a fore-shadowing of the real thing. The New Covenant which is sealed with the blood of Christ is eternal and everlasting. It is the SPIRITUAL fulfillment of everything that was fore-shadowed.
So if you are hoping and looking for physical manifestations of what you think is predicted in the bible, I suggest you consider that the Jewish pharisees were looking and hoping for the exact same thing and they were corrected by the Lord Himself....
"Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is NOT coming in ways that can be OBSERVED, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God IS IN THE MIDST OF YOU" Luke 17:20-21
